Applying Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy

Reflection
This evidence shows that I understand the content I am teaching and can make it accessible to students. I do not rely on only one method of instruction. I use lecture, visuals, discussion, textbook readings, and hands-on materials so students can understand history in different ways."
My curriculum unit plan focuses on how the United States became a world power and how the country changed at home between 1890 and 1920. Students studied imperialism, the Progressive Movement, World War I, and the effects of these events on the United States.
The unit included Chapters 14, 15, and 16 from the U.S. History II textbook. These chapters focused on becoming a world power, the Progressive Movement, and World War I and its aftermath.
